Data synchronization

In order to maintain synchronization between Rentals United and Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, it is ensured that both static content and ARI data are up-to-date. Read further to check which property's data is synchronized with Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy.

Static content

Static content (property descriptive content) refers to the type of data which changes infrequently and denotes property descriptive content. In Rentals United, it includes elements like property's basic information, amenities, description, photos or payment methods. Note that some elements of pricing are also shared with Sales Channels as part of the static content.

What data is static in Rentals United?

Step 1: Basic info: Property name, Property type, Maximum number of guests, Floor number, Property size, Address, Geo-coordinates, Licence number, Points of interest
Step 2: Amenities: Amenities, Number of bedrooms, Number of bathrooms, Number of toilets, Kitchen, Bed types, Bedding composition, Amenities distribution across rooms
Step 3: Description
Step 4: Photos
Step 5: Price and availability: Standard number of guests, Preparation Time Before Arrival, Tax, Fee, Down payment, Security deposit, Currency
Step 6: Check-in and check-out: Arrival information, Arrival instructions, Pick-up service, Normal check-in and check-out times, Late check-in and early check-out fees
Step 7: Payments: Payment methods, Cancellation Policy, Terms and Conditions

In case of the first time-time synchronization, property content is synchronized automatically with Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy. For more information, please see Create new listing.
In case of any static content update held after the first-time synchronization, the content must be re-pushed manually by the host. The changes should be visible instantly on the Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy site.
You can also switch on the automatic listing content update by following the steps here and then all updates that you make in Rentals United will be automatically updating your listings in Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy.

ARI data

Availability, Rates and Inventory (ARI) data refers to the dynamic content and stands for property availability, as well as rate plans and inventory data. In Rentals United, the ARI data includes elements from Step 5: Price and availability and these are elements like number of available units, changeover days, minimum stay or prices.

What data is dynamic in Rentals United?

Step 5: Price and availability: LOS pricing, FSP pricing, Daily price, Extra guest price, Weekend pricing, Occupancy pricing, Discounts, Calendar, Changeover restrictions

First-time synchronization happens at the moment of connecting new listings, for example when the PM’s properties are created for the first time.
Upon change synchronization is held every time a change is made to the ARI data, for example when availability changes. Regardless of the place where the ARI update has originated, once it is registered in Rentals United, Rentals United immediately updates ARI data in Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy. It may take up to 5 minutes for the changes to be sent by Rentals United and processed by the channel.
At deactivation, it will not be possible to book a reservation through the Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy channel.
