How to migrate from a legacy channel manager software to Rentals United?

  1. The Property Manager (PM) informs their point of contact that they will be switching their channel manager (CM) from the legacy CM to Rentals United.

  2. The existing HVMB listing powered by the legacy CM needs to be deactivated on the HVMI website. This can be done by the legacy CM or by the PM’s HVMB point of contact.

  3. HVMB makes a note of the new PM-CM relation between the PM and Rentals United.

  4. The PM provides their HVMB point of contact with a mapping spreadsheet featuring their existing HVMB listing IDs in one column and their Rentals United property IDs in another column.

  5. HVMB point of contact uploads the mapping spreadsheet to HVMB system and confirms this has been successfully done and HVMB is now ready.

  6. Properties are pushed from Rentals United to HVMB in the same manner as for the original push. HVMB will recognise Rentals United property IDs that have been submitted in the mapping spreadsheet and will perform full override of the HVMB listings data maintaining the listing ID and history

When a PM logs into their account on HVMB, they will see 2 listings for the same home – one ID for each connection. They will be able to see all past booking and reservation using the old listing IDs, and the new listing IDs will show data just from the Rentals United connection.

The migration process may me quite lengthy, therefore we recommend reaching out to HVMB with as much notice as possible
