There are various pricing models that sales channels have, but the vast majority works on commission. If a channel works on commission, it charges a certain amount of each booking you receive via this channel. The amount you are charged depends on the channel and the contract you have with them. It is important to know how your channels work in order to manage your prices strategically. We always inform you how the channel works in the How it works section under each channel.
Some channels add their commission on top of the prices you have. It means the final price for the guest will be higher than what you set in Rentals United.
Other channels will charge their commission from the prices you provide them with. You need to be aware of this when setting your pricing in Rentals United. For these channels you have the possibility to mark your rates up to cover for their commission before you connect. You can check how to mark up your prices here
Where I can check the commission amount?
You can check the commission amount directly in the reservation in Rentals United. Go to Guest Planner, select the reservation and click the see more link in the property info section. You will find there a table with reservation price breakdown. To read more about this breakdown, see here.
How channels handle commission?
You can check whether a channel works on the commission model in the How it works tab. See this information in the Commissions section the example of Airbnb on the screenshot. Even though you are given the commission range in the channel description, not all of the channels share the exact amount that has been charged once the booking is made.

Expedia, Kayak / Hotels Combined, Agoda, Ostrovok, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, Trip.com, TUI Villas, Traumferienwohnungen and Vrbo do not provide commission information. In this case, commission field will not be available.
