Booking page

The moment your listings are live on your website, you are ready to receive bookings! Your guests make bookings directly from your listing page, by clicking the Take me to the booking button. They are taken to the Booking page where they are asked to provide their personal and credit card data. This is necessary to correctly create a booking in our system and collect their payment information.

If the booking is made properly, your guest will receive a confirmation email with a reservation ID and other necessary details to the email address provided while booking. You also receive email notifications to your confirmation email (set in Company profile). Bookings coming from My Website are marked as coming from a Personal Sales Channel.

Currently, the maximum length of a booking that a guest can made via My Website is 120 nights.

Bookings in Guest Planner

Apart from email notifications, bookings made through your website flow to your Rentals United account in real-time. Each booking blocks availability in your calendar just as with regular channels. You can find these bookings in Guest Planner.

Tip: If you uploaded an image in My profile, this image will be displayed as the Personal Sales Channel logo.

Reservation details and charging

Bookings feature the data used to fill in the booking form. This includes guest data (name, surname, email address etc.) as well as credit card details.

There is no automated charging system built in My Website. Your guests will not be charged automatically after they make a booking. Instead, you receive the credit card data, so that you can charge your guests on your own - see Payments.

In particular, if you need to charge the client yourself, you may be interested in one of the payment providers Rentals United integrated with - Stripe. Otherwise, you may just use the any other provider to charge your guest outside Rentals United.

Modifications and cancellations

In case your guests plans change and they want to reschedule or for some reason you cannot host them in the selected dates, you need to agree on it directly with your guests. This is because your guest will not get informed if you modify or cancel the booking in Rentals United.

Quoting prices

If you are a PMS user and synchronize prices to Rentals United, you may be interested in if the booking price will be double-checked in your PMS before the booking is made. Note that all prices coming to your website are prices from Rentals United and quoting your PMS is not supported by default.
