Payment methods

Payment methods refer to the types of payments available for the guests at the property to pay for the provided services. At least one payment method is required to successfully set up this stage. Nonetheless, it is possible to specify as many payment methods as required, so that the guests are given freedom to choose.

Note that selection of the payment methods does not cause Rentals United to automatically charge your guests.

If you have multiple payment methods of one type, for example a few different credit card providers, then all of their names will be displayed in Rentals United platform and separated by commas. In the below example, Rentals United platform should display DISCOVER,AMEX,MASTERCARD,VISA.

Note: This setting is by default not available for Streamline VRS customers. If you want to have it enabled, you need to contact Streamline VRS Support Team.

 

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy (CP) describes the charges applied if a reservation is cancelled within a specific period of time.

 

 

In Streamline VRS: Tools > Home > Edit property > Distribution Channel Settings > Homeaway Cancellation Policy

This element is not synchronized. In case it is mandatory to connect to some Sales Channels or you want to have this information filled in for your property, switch off the synchronisation of this element and update this information directly in the Rentals United platform. Note that if you switch the synchronisation on again, whatever you have in Rentals United will be overwritten with the data from your PMS again.
